Privacy policy
This policy explains what Notoro App Inc. (“Notoro”, “we”) collects when you use notoro.app and the Notoro service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Effective September 14, 2026
Who we are
Notoro App Inc. is a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, at 203-3033 Palstan Rd, Mississauga, ON, Canada. We provide a transportation management system for brokers, carriers and owner-operators.
Two kinds of data
Customer data is what our customers and their users enter into the service or route through it: loads, customers, carriers, drivers, documents, messages, invoices and settlements. For customer data, our customer is the organisation responsible and we process it on their instructions.
Our own data is what we collect about visitors to this site and about the people who sign up or contact us: account details, contact form submissions and usage logs. For that data we are responsible.
What we collect
- Account data: name, work email, phone, role and company, when you or your company create an account or request early access.
- Customer data: the load, party, document and financial records our customers enter, upload or email into the service.
- Communications: email, SMS and WhatsApp messages that our customers route through the platform, including translations and drafts.
- Usage logs: sign-ins, pages and actions, IP address, browser and device type, and error reports, kept to run and secure the service.
Why we collect it and on what basis
We collect and use personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law. The basis is consent, given when you sign up or contact us, and the contract we have with our customer to provide the service. We use the data to provide, secure and improve the service, to respond to you, to bill, and to meet legal obligations.
Where it is stored
All data is stored in Amazon Web Services in Canada (ca-central-1), encrypted at rest and in transit. Some processing by subprocessors happens where they operate; see Sharing below.
How long we keep it
- Customer data: for the life of the customer’s account, then deleted on request or within 90 days of the account closing, except where law requires longer retention (for example, tax records).
- Contact form submissions: up to 24 months, so we can follow up.
- Usage and security logs: up to 13 months.
Sharing
We never sell personal information. We share it only with the subprocessors that run parts of the service on our behalf, each under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, email), Anthropic via Amazon Bedrock (document reading, translation and drafting), Twilio (SMS and voice), Meta (WhatsApp) and the Bank of Canada (published exchange rates; nothing is sent to them). We also disclose information when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information. Where we hold it as customer data, we will refer your request to the customer organisation and help them respond. Write to privacy@notoro.app; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party trackers. The service uses only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect against forgery. There is no advertising or analytics tracking.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify customers by email.
